In 2015, the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp (ITM), Belgium joins forces with the National School of Public Health (ENSP), Rabat, Morocco to organize the first ITM colloquium on Maternal & Neonatal Health.
The colloquium will take note of scientific progress in the domain, discuss the state of the art and share real-life experiences to improve Maternal & Neonatal Health (MNH) in low- and middle-income countries. The event will focus on three thematic areas that are of particular importance for the health of mothers and newborns in low- and middle-income countries: respectful childbirth, maternal morbidity and its consequences on newborn and women’s health, and maternal death surveillance systems.
