Geruwa Rural Awareness Association (GERUWA) is non–profit, non-governmental social development organization established in 1993A.D. by an enthusiastic group in the sector of Economic and Livelihood, Governance and Advocacy, School Sanitation, Health, Nutrition, Family planning and Safe Abortion as major thematic areas.
Since few years, GERUWA is implementing Women’s Health Project (WHP) and Adolescent Youth Project (AYP) partnering with Population Services International (PSI) Nepal, in four districts of Lumbini Province (Banke and Bardiya) and Sudurpaschim Province (Kailali, and Kanchanpur). And currently looking for following experienced and dynamic team players for the aforementioned positions.
Position: Sub District Officer (SDO) -4 Positions (Field based Kailali and Kanchanpur) Female only:
The Sub-District Officer (SDO) is responsible for field level activities planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting under the guidance of the Field Coordinator (FC) and collaboration to M&E officer and Program manager. The core priority of this project is to increase knowledge and awareness on safe abortion and FP options among women of reproductive ages so that they can make informed decisions about their reproductive health and link to community-level private sector service providers/health facilities for accessing a comprehensive choice of modern contraceptive services and appropriate counseling on safe abortion in friendly ways.
Working Areas:
* Kanchanpur: Bhimdatta/Chandanidodhara and Bedkot/Jhalari- Two positions
* Kailali: Lamkichuha /Tikapur and Bahuniya/Ghodaghodi &Attariya-Two positions.
Minimum Requirements:
* Certificate level in Nursing (Staff Nurse) or General Medicine (Health Assistant) with two years of experience in community mobilization.
* Knowledge on using mobile based applications for recording and reporting purpose.
* Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills
Position: Adolescent Youth Community Mobilizer -3 Positions (Field based Banke and Bardiya)
Adolescent Youth Community Mobilizer will be responsible for demand generation activities and provide outreach FP services to adolescent and youth including data recording and reporting also referring adolescent youth clients to nearby Adolescent Youth service centers/outlets. The core priority of this project is to increase knowledge and awareness of FP options among adolescents youth and make informed decisions about their health and link to community-level private sector service providers, increasing the number of service accessed by adolescents and youth through accessing a comprehensive choice of modern contraceptive services in friendly way.
Working Areas:
* Bardiya: Bansaghi/ Thakurbaba and Madhuban/ Rajapur -Two positions
* Banke: Kohalpur/Raptisonari – one position
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum ANM with three years of experience OR Staff Nurse with one year of experience in demand generation or field outreach program especially in Reproductive Health.
* Good interpersonal communication and mobilization skills
* Experience in Adolescent Family planning project preferred
